Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:
Test Execution and Reporting:
- Regularly run predetermined test cases on new software versions to ensure functionality hasn't been disrupted by recent code changes.
- Document and report any defects or inconsistencies found during testing, providing detailed information to assist in issue resolution.
Test Environment Setup and Maintenance:
- Assist in setting up, maintaining, and troubleshooting testing environments.
- This might include tasks like configuring hardware and software, setting up test databases, or ensuring connectivity for remote testing.
Documentation and Test Case Development:
- Collaborate with senior QA professionals to understand the testing requirements and contribute to developing and updating test cases, scripts, and procedures.
- Assist in maintaining the testing documentation, ensuring it's up-to-date and easily accessible to the entire team.
Collaboration and Team Meetings:
- Attend regular team meetings to stay informed about ongoing development, upcoming releases, and potential testing bottlenecks.
- Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and other team members to understand feature updates, ensuring testing is aligned with current project goals.
